Founder & Senior Managing Partner
Robert Forsythe is the founder and senior managing partner of Third Lake. Robert oversees Third Lake along with its strategic projects and growth initiatives. Robert is on Third Lake’s investment, valuation and allocation committees and serves on the boards of Third Lake’s affiliated general partner entities. Robert is also chairman and chief executive officer (“CEO”) of and on the board of Third Lake’s holding company, Third Lake Holdings, LLC (“TLH”), and is CEO of Third Lake’s affiliated entities, Third Lake Solutions, LLC (“TLS”), Third Lake Group, LLC (“TLG”), Third Lake Insurance, LLC (“TLI”) Third Lake Construction, LLC (“TLC”), Third Lake Trust, LLC (“TLT”) and Third Lake Merit, LLC (“TLM”). Robert serves as a member of the investment committee of Third Lake Development, LLC (“TLV”), and as manager of Third Lake EB5 Group, LLC (“TLE”), Third Lake Southeast Regional Center, LLC (“TLO”) and Third Lake EB-5 Fund Management Group, LLC (“TLF”).
Robert serves as CEO to Third Lake Capital, LLC (“TLCL”), a single-family office, and its holding company, TL Capital Holdings, LLC (“TLCH”). Robert is responsible for the growth, strategic direction and management of TLCL and TLCH. Robert also serves on several boards related to direct private equity, venture capital and real estate investments made at TLCL and TLCH and its affiliates.
Prior to this, Robert served as an executive vice president and chief operating officer at TLCL. Robert was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and growth of the firm. Additionally, Robert was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing TLCL’s alternative investment strategies. While in this role at TLCL, Robert also advised on allocation strategies, estate planning and public market portfolio construction.
Prior to TLCL, Robert worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (“PwC”), in its Banking and Capital Markets practice. While at PwC, Robert worked on a wide range of client and firm engagements including transaction advisory, management consulting and audit engagements. Robert co-authored numerous publications that were delivered to clients worldwide.
Robert graduated from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with majors in accounting and finance and a minor in economics. Robert is a licensed certified public accountant (“CPA”) in Florida, New York, Virginia and Washington, DC and is a chartered global management accountant (“CGMA”).
