Partner & Head of Structured Products
Nathan Sheldon is a partner and head of structured products for Third Lake. Nathan joined Third Lake in November 2024 and serves as lead portfolio manager for several alternative equity strategies managed by Third Lake. Nathan is responsible for investment decision making and daily oversight as well as future growth of these strategies. Additionally, Nathan serves on Third Lake’s investment committee.
Prior to this, Nathan worked at Morgan Stanley where he gained over 20 years of industry experience. He most recently worked at Morgan Stanley Investment Management (“MSIM”) where he served as co-head of the Managed Solutions Group and was lead portfolio manager for multiple successful structured notes strategies that he helped to create and bring to market beginning in 2019.
Prior to joining MSIM, Nathan was an executive director Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (“MSWM”) where he served as head of the cross asset structured products secondary trading desk in the Investment Solutions Group. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing and risk managing a principal trading portfolio for the firm and providing market making responsibilities for MSWM’s structured investment brokerage clients.
Prior to this, he worked as a vice president in the Financial Engineering group within the Institutional Equity Division of Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Securities Group and was responsible for the modeling, structuring and new issue creation of structured investment products for institutional and retail clients and facilitating subsequent liquidity provisions between the firm’s clients and its parent company.
Nathan graduated from the University of Connecticut with a dual Bachelor of Art in economics and political science. Nathan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA®”) designation.
